Summary
This job is open to National Guard and reserves, current members those who want to join or transitioning military members.
Duties
- Assists in developing position announcements, validating funding, and certifying position is valid and vacant.
- Receives and reviews all application packets for accuracy and notifies all applicants of discrepancies.
- Compiles and sends results of nomination/selection board to higher level specialist for reviews.
- Notifies candidates of the result of their application.
- Maintains necessary documents associated with recruitment and placement lists for overgraded AGR personnel.
- Uses a variety of source documents, regulations, and guides in determining proper procedures to follow when filling positions.
- Gathers and analyzes statistics concerning staffing functions such as turnover, resignations, minority hire rates, promotions, hiring lag time, etc.
- Assists in maintaining daily strength reports for further analysis by AGR Program manager.
- Coordinates and tracks probationary periods and placement lists.
- Provides advice on career management that ensures opportunities for qualified AGR personnel.
- Provides guidance to supervisors in planning job-related career development activities for AGR personnel.
- Provides advice and assistance to AGR personnel supervisors and managers on identifying training needs in accordance with the Professional Development Program (PDP).
- Advises AGR personnel on self-development activities and explains eligibility requirements and regulatory requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard.
- Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor grade inversion.
- Maximum Military Grade - CMSgt E-9
- GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
- Clerical or administrative experience, education, and/or training that has provided the ability to search for and compile information, data, process documents, and provide information about regulations, procedures, and programs.
- GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level or equivalent that provided knowledge and skill in applying a comprehensive body of human resources rules, procedures, regulations, policy, and technical methods to process personnel actions.
- Education:
- This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
