Role:
The HR Assistant supports recruitment, compliance, payroll, and general HR operations for the restaurant. This role assists with managing candidate scheduling and communications, conducting reference checks, assists with interviews and job fairs, and ensures timely updates to applicants. Their main role is to maintain accurate employee files, supporting bi-annual compliance audits, and assisting with onboarding and payroll processes. Additionally, the HR Assistant tracks hiring activity and works closely with the HR Director to ensure smooth and efficient HR functions across all locations.
Expected Hours:
This role is part time. On average, this role should not expect more than 10 hours per week, with a maximum workweek of 20 hours under special circumstances.
Expected Pay:
This position will start at $16.50 hourly with an increase to $17 hourly after the completion of a training period (2-4 weeks).
Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Conduct Reference checks for all applicants with previous Chick-fil-A experience as needed
- Communicate to all rejected applicants the status of their application within 48 hours as needed
- Assist with maintaining the interview process utilizing Willo Video Interviews as needed
- Assist with Planning and Coordinating any Job Fairs or Open Interviews as needed
Compliance:
- Print and compile all New Hire Documentation for each hired team member weekly
- Appropriately File each new team members employee file weekly at the restaurants
- Remove terminated employees files from the restaurant weekly (or as needed)
- Assist in maintaining File Compliance for terminated employees weekly
- File any documentation into employee files weekly
- Assist with Bi-Yearly file compliance audit, especially in assisting with obtaining updated IDs for file compliance and obtaining required Minor Documentation
Payroll:
- Be knowledgeable in Payroll Systems and be able to assist in completing Payroll for restaurant locations as needed
- Assist in Onboarding process as needed by HR Director
- Kick off Onboarding for any new team members that are hired each week.
- Ensure paychecks are printed and available for pick up at restaurant locations by 2pm Fridays
Miscellaneous:
- Meet bi-weekly with HR Director or as needed
- Complete weekly applicant, resignation and hiring tracking as needed
- Complete miscellaneous HR projects or process improvements as assigned by HR Director
- Support internal recognition programs and employee events. Track milestones (work anniversaries, birthdays) and communicate these with the Restaurant Leadership Team.
- Assist Culture Director with conducting and documenting exit interviews for all resignations/terminations.
- Assist as an impartial witness for any Quarterly Evaluations or disciplinary conversations as needed.
