Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Human Resources Assistant to support daily HR operations for a growing elevator service company in the Miami market. This role will assist with recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, training coordination, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and comfortable working in a fast paced, field service environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport HR Manager with day to day administrative tasks and employee inquiries.
Assist with recruiting, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, background checks, I 9 verification, and orientation paperwork.
Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, licenses, and training documentation.
Track elevator mechanic licenses, renewals, safety training, and compliance requirements.
Support payroll preparation by collecting timesheets, verifying hours, and updating employee data.
Assist with benefits enrollment, open enrollment coordination, and employee questions.
Help organize safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions with field leadership.
Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and documentation as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
Provide general administrative support to operations, field supervisors, and leadership teams.
1 3 years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience (construction or elevator industry preferred).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); HRIS/ATS experience a plus.
Ability to work with field technicians, supervisors, and office staff in a fast moving environment.
High attention to detail and strong follow through.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
This position plays a key role in supporting field operations, ensuring compliance, and helping the company hire and retain top elevator talent. The HR Assistant will be a central point of contact for employees and leadership across the Miami branch.
