JOB SUMMARY
Noo-Kayet Investments (NKI) is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused Human Resources Associate to join our Human Resources team.
The Human Resources Associate plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department and serves as a first point of contact for employees, applicants, and members of the public with HR-related questions.
This position provides administrative support to the HR team, maintains confidential employee records, assists with onboarding new employees, coordinates pre-employment drug screenings, and helps ensure HR documents and systems remain accurate, current, and organized.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Create, maintain, update, and securely manage employee personnel records in accordance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with the tracking, retrieval, and distribution of employee and company documents as needed.
- Maintain an organized and efficient filing and document management system that allows the HR team to easily access necessary information.
- Create professional HR materials, including employee notices, posters, templates, forms, presentations, and other documents.
- Assist with coordinating and facilitating HR meetings, trainings, events, and both in-person and virtual meetings.
- Perform daily administrative duties for the HR department, including filing, scanning, copying, correspondence, data entry, document preparation, and organization.
- Welcome and assist employees, applicants, and visitors to the HR office while providing professional and friendly customer service.
- Draft and prepare letters, memos, meeting minutes, agendas, and other HR-related correspondence and documentation.
- Serve as an HR liaison with the Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA), Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe departments, and local community organizations as needed.
- Order and maintain office and administrative supplies to ensure necessary materials remain available.
- Perform data entry, editing, formatting, tracking, and document creation using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Support the HR team with additional administrative projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or relevant clerical work experience.
- Minimum of two years of administrative support experience in an office environment.
- Strong business writing, editing, and professional document creation skills are highly preferred.
- Ability to independently complete assigned duties and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling employee and company information.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required; advanced skills are preferred.
- Ability to work the regularly scheduled shifts required for the position.
