Summary
The HR Associate provides support across the full spectrum of Human Resources functions. This role offers broad generalist exposure, including cross-training in recruitment, leaves administration, payroll, employee relations, benefits, and HR operations. The HR Associate plays a key role in supporting a positive employee experience at our Watertown and DeWitt locations while assisting the HR team with ongoing projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruiting, including candidate phone screens, interview scheduling, and communication with hiring managers and hiring committees
- Assist with onboarding activities, including new hire orientation, benefits overview, and time management training
- Participate in career fairs and recruitment events at local colleges and high schools
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of employee engagement initiatives such as events, recognition programs, and onsite activities
- Maintain accurate data and working knowledge within the HRIS system
- Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable federal and state labor laws
- Cross-train and provide support across HR functions, including:
- Payroll processing and timekeeping
- Leaves of absence administration
- Employee relations and employee communications
- Benefits administration and enrollment
- Collaborate with the HR team on various projects that enhance employee retention, engagement, and HR processes
Requirements
- Associate's degree or two (2) years of related experience required
- Prior HR experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight up to 5% to our DeWitt, Iowa facility
Salary: $56,740 - $59,740
