Job Title: HR Business Partner (Employee Relations)

Duration: 12+ Months
Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2

Employee Relations experience is required. This role will partner with leaders to provide guidance on progressive discipline, employee relations best practices, and appropriate HR resources.

Position Summary

The HR Business Partner – Employee Relations serves as a strategic partner responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment across a national workforce. This role focuses on proactive coaching for people leaders, modernization of employee relations processes, and resolution of workplace matters. The individual will manage case intake, provide coaching to leaders, and evaluate existing workflows to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide expert coaching on progressive discipline, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers focused on empathetic leadership, effective documentation, and labor law compliance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Employee Relations issues, providing balanced guidance that mitigates risk while supporting business objectives.
  • Evaluate current Employee Relations intake and investigation processes to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable workflow improvements.
  • Conduct thorough, objective investigations into complex or sensitive employee complaints.
  • Analyze Employee Relations trends and develop proactive intervention strategies to address organizational concerns.
  • Support leaders in navigating employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years focused on Employee Relations or Labor Relations in a national or multi-state environment.
  • Strong experience handling employee relations cases, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
  • Exceptional ability to navigate sensitive conversations with neutrality, professionalism, and empathy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading process improvement initiatives from planning through implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting retail, consumer-facing, or multi-location organizations.
  • Background in employee relations training, manager coaching, and workforce compliance initiatives.
  • Experience developing and improving HR processes, workflows, and employee relations programs.
