HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER - COMPENSATION & CLASSIFICATION

Snohomish County Central Human Resources is seeking a Project Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Compensation & Classification team. The Compensation and Classification HRBP serves as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in developing, maintaining, and administering the County’s compensation and classification programs. This role collaborates closely with department leaders, HR colleagues, and union representatives to support workforce planning, job description updates, and compensation analysis.

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience with compensation structures and conducting internal and external equity analyses
• Experience working within a local government or public sector environment
• Proven expertise in position evaluation, classification reviews, and job analysis
• A strong ability to interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

Project positions are budgeted through 12/31/2026 but anticipated to continue through the next biennial budget end date of 12/31/2028.

BASIC FUNCTION
 Performs advanced, professional-level human resources work in support of designated functions.  Acts as an operational and strategic partner and subject matter expert within the department and across Snohomish County as related to assigned areas.
