Position Overview
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the HR Director and partners with Executive Leadership and Field Operations to support a multi-state workforce. This role leads, trains, and supports a team of recruiters, oversees benefits administration, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment claims, aids in the administration of HR systems, and delivers HR analytics to support workforce and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Recruit and interview senior management candidates and partner with executive-level leaders to fill high-level positions within the organization. • Lead and provide ongoing support to a recruiting and onboarding team that hires entry-level to middle-management positions serving multiple U.S. branches. • Establish recruiting best practices, interview standards, and onboarding processes across locations. • Provide additional HR support to the HR Director across strategic, operational, and compliance initiatives at the federal, state, and local levels, including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and ACA requirements. • Determine eligibility and support employee benefits, including health insurance, 401k, PTO, and state-mandated benefits, e.g., Paid Sick Leave, ESTA, State Disability Insurance. • Maintain user access permissions for HR, Payroll, Timekeeping, and Benefits systems, ensuring appropriate access controls for managers. • Manage Workers Compensation claims, including experience with Ohio BWC and captive programs. • Manage unemployment claims, employment verifications, and related documentation. • Support and help maintain safety programs and policies in partnership with operations. • Oversee onboarding logistics, including issuance, tracking, and maintenance of company-owned cell phones. • Generate and analyze HR metrics, including turnover, performance trends, and employee engagement data. • Analyze new hire, active employee, and exit surveys to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. • 5 years of progressive HR experience supporting a multi-state or multi-location workforce. • Proven experience interviewing executive-level candidates and leaders. • Demonstrated experience training, supporting, and leading recruiting teams. • Working knowledge of I-9 administration, with E-Verify, HRIS systems, benefits administration, leave management, and HR security controls. • Experience managing Workers Compensation, Ohio BWC, and captives, unemployment claims, and HR compliance.
