    Job Description

    Sterling Lexicon is a leading provider of global mobility services. We manage all facets of our clients' mobility programs, while focusing on providing flexible solutions for corporate and U.S. government organizations worldwide.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Consults with all levels of management within assigned Business Unit, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
    • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
    • Recruits for all levels of roles within company.
    • Maintains HR vendor contracts and 3rd party support.
    • Partners with the Finance to process payroll.
    • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required. Drafts Impact Analysis documents as needed.
    • Consults with employees on benefit plans, payroll issues and other areas of concern.
    • Serves as the primary administrator for the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, system maintenance, security access, organizational structure updates, and accurate employee information to support HR, payroll, reporting, and business operations.
    • Administers all benefits plans including open enrollment, leave of absences, 401K administration, etc.
    • Assists with learning and develop activities for employees and performance management processes.
    • Inputs or approves all job requisitions, job changes, organizational changes, making offers, and other HR related changes in the HRIS system.
    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
    • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
    • Develops offer letters for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
    • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
    • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
    • Drafts job descriptions, provides information for job leveling and communicates to the field any changes.
    • Perform exit interviews and report on trends and offers recommendations if change is needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
    • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to balance payroll ledgers.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Education & Experience:

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
    • Working knowledge of payroll and multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, recruiting and federal and state respective employment laws.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • SPHR or PHR preferred.

    Skills:

    • Good working skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CoPilot/AI are required.
    • Strong communication skills. Must be able to adequately communicate with both corporate staff, and customers
    • Ability to train personnel and convey basic HRIS work instructions is required.
    • Must have strong critical thinking skills with ability to conduct employee interviews
    • Must demonstrate effective problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Must demonstrate leadership qualities and facilitate training and able to delegate tasks to a diverse team.
    • Must be able to quickly shift priorities, as required.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Must be discrete with sensitive information and champion the Suddath values
    • Must be results driven and have excellent time management skills

    Travel:

    • Ability to travel up to 20%

    Physical/Environmental Demands:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
