Jackson, VA-position is fully onsite*$70-75k  Job Summary:  The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for a variety of functions including, but not limited to, employee relations, training, recruiting, organizational development, and change management.  The HRBP will handle compensation and benefits.  These duties include the maintenance of salary schedules, and adherence to salary and wage policies, laws, and regulations.  The HRBP develops, plans, implements assigned program responsibilities; conducts research analysis and preparation of reports; and is expected to perform the full scope of compensation analysis and research on new and current compensation program activities.  The incumbent will be required to have knowledge of strategic and operational HR practices.  
        What you’ll do:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation goals, objectives, policies and procedures; analyze and recommend strategies to improve effectiveness of compensation administration.
  • Administer compensation programs in accordance with applicable legislation.
  • Research and stay abreast of all applicable state and federal laws and regulations as related to compensation.
  • Perform detailed salary analysis for all internal compensation practices across the Company for all employees.
  • Update & maintain current salary schedules, conduct market analysis of pay grades and ranges.
  • Assist with developing, communicating, and implementing strategic HR programs across the company.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for supervisors and managers seeking guidance.
  • Coach supervisors and managers to upgrade their leadership capabilities. 
  • Develop, deliver, and assess training programs for supervisors to upgrade the quality of leadership within the company.
  • Practice proactive employee relations while providing timely follow-up with prompt, fair, and equitable investigations. 
  • Create and follow employee relations processes that can be implemented across the entire company.
  • Assist and drive key Human Resources and Employee Resource programs such as:
    • Policy construction and compliance
    • Leadership Development and Coaching
    • Performance Management & Talent Development
    • Career Development & Growth path for Production teammates
    • Employee Engagement, Talent Pipeline, and Reducing Turnover.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings to ensure that an HR perspective is provided to the various teams. 
  • Create HR communications regarding company announcements.
  • Communicate with external recruits to ensure that candidates are being properly vetted and hiring managers are following through. What you’ll need: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In lieu of degree, at least 5 years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
  • General knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills. 
  • Business acumen with the ability to align HR and company strategic goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly.
 Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred. 
  • At least 3 years of experience in a salaried exempt human resources role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Working Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a teammate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Considerable time will be spent working within an office environment as well as on the production and warehouse floors, lab, garage, and crib areas, and outside. The incumbent will be exposed to long periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Exposure to loud noises from production equipment and moving mechanical parts will also occur. INDQT
