Overview:Serve as a strategic consultant between HR Centers of Excellence and the business. Understand the business, interpret their needs, and advise business unit leaders on appropriate people strategies.
Responsibilities:1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews, and presenting development opportunities.
2. Collaborate with business unit leaders to integrate people & culture strategies into the overall business unit strategy and operating plan, ensuring Human Resources standards are present, proactive and predictive.
3. Guide and support organizational change initiatives ensuring people strategies are in place to support successful execution and adoption.
4. Consult on initiatives to optimize organizational design and structure to enhance efficiency, scalability, and responsiveness to business needs.
5. Coach leaders on complex performance issues, talent decisions, and leadership effectiveness, ensuring a culture of accountability aligned with Sheetz culture and DNA. Ensure leaders have adopted a consistent approach to performance management and help drive the execution of the biannual performance management process.
6. Partner with HR COEs to drive adoption and execution of the workforce planning process to align with the organization's growth projections, market trends, and talent availability, proactively addressing skill gaps and succession needs.
7. Partner with Human Resource Centers of Excellence and business unit leaders to identify, hire, develop and place high-potential leaders ensuring robust succession plans for critical roles.
8. Work with Human Resource Centers of Excellence and business unit leaders to drive the desired leadership behaviors and cultural attributes that drive performance, innovation, and employee engagement at the leadership level and below. Coach leaders to ensure they model the behaviors individually and as a leadership team.
9. Provide critical, strategic input to Human Resource Centers of Excellence to ensure programs and services meet the unique, evolving needs of the business. Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to design solutions to meet business need challenges.
10. Act as a sponsor and champion for key HR initiatives (e.g., compensation reviews, benefits changes, HRIS implementations) within the business unit, ensuring buy-in and successful adoption by leaders.
11. Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance metrics and HR processes working with HR Centers of Excellence to improve efficiency and user experience.
12. Partner with stakeholders to mitigate risk across the regional footprint, including proactively addressing potential issues, ensuring fair labor practices, and connecting internal experts in Government Relations, Employee Relations, Legal, and PR to enable a positive work culture.

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required
• Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or related field preferred
Experience
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources, or HR Generalist role required
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience required
• Prior HR Business Partner experience supporting a retail or multi-site, customer-facing environment is preferred
Licenses/Certifications
• SPHR/PHR certification preferred
• SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP preferred
