Human Resources Business Partner - Employee Relations

Location: Sacramento, CA - Fully Onsite

Schedule: Monday - Friday, day shift

What You'll Do

• Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders on employee performance, conduct, and workplace concerns
• Partner with leadership to develop and implement performance improvement plans and corrective action strategies
• Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, conflict resolution, and promoting fair and consistent practices
• Manage leave of absence programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and accommodations
• Oversee workers' compensation processes, including claims follow-up and risk identification
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies
• Support audits, terminations, and overall HR compliance initiatives
• Conduct site visits and build strong relationships across departments to address concerns proactively

What You Bring

• 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist or employee relations-focused role
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, investigations, and compliance
• Experience supporting managers through coaching, discipline, and conflict resolution
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Familiarity with HR systems, payroll tools, and Microsoft Office
• HR certification (PHR/SPHR) and healthcare or nonprofit experience are a plus

This is a Permanent position based out of Sacramento, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
