LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client of ours located in Detroit, MI that is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This is a 4+ month contract opportunity offering a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to partner closely with business leaders to drive key HR initiatives and support organizational goals.

• Compensation: $40.00 - $53.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and employees, providing guidance and support across employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, performance management, and organizational development. The ideal candidate brings strong HR generalist experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to support business objectives and workforce strategies.

• Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, and workplace policies.

• Support talent acquisition, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee development initiatives.

• Assist in managing employee performance reviews, corrective actions, and career development efforts.

• Advise managers on organizational changes, succession planning, and talent management strategies.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

• Analyze workforce data and identify trends to support HR decision-making.

• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, and Learning & Development.

• Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.

• Participate in special projects, process improvements, and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.

• Previous experience serving as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, or similar strategic HR role.

• Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and employment law.

• Experience partnering directly with business leaders and senior management.

• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large or complex organizations.

• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.

• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar systems.

• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
