New Hire Experience:

Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator supports benefits administration, payroll-related processes, and employee leave management while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position coordinates benefits deductions, processes vendor billing, administers employee leaves, monitors Affordable Care Act discrepancies, and works closely with vendors, Payroll, and Finance to support HR operations. The role also analyzes Human Resources processes, systems, and data to improve efficiency and accuracy, prepares reports, and serves as a liaison between departments to ensure effective communication and streamlined operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs confidential and sensitive tasks related to Family Medical Leave Act, district leave types, and Long-term disability
- Processes insurance vendor billing and prepares monthly compliance reports
- Performs uploads/downloads and verify the accuracy of data loads
- Creates queries, with various levels of complexity, to proof data entry for accuracy and timeliness, provide analysis of employee data and various statistical data to support human resources services
- Assists with continuous improvement of processes by analyzing data, identifying opportunities, evaluating systems and timelines, and making necessary recommendations to enhance procedures and strategies. Provides root cause analysis and recommendations to human resource administration
- Models a growth mindset and foster a culture of continuous learning and development
- Analyzes processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery
- Collaborates to ensure alignment and seamless support across all HR functions
- Provides guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to team members
- Contributes to broader HR initiatives and projects as needed to support organizational goals
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Completes special projects and performs other tasks related to areas of responsibility as requested by human resources administration
- Collaborates with leadership to address challenges and develop solutions
- Serves as a problem-solving liaison between human resources, district departments, and sites.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in implementation of our systems as well as effective processes to serve our employees
- Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and Mesa Public Schools
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years data entry or data processing experience
- Minimum of two years experience with iVisions, Powerschools, or related platforms
- Human Resources experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of benefits

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Primarily works in an office within the district office
- Occasionally visits schools to meet with principals, teachers, or staff
- Utilizes benefits software, leave systems, and communication tools.
- May need to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ensures adherence to state and federal labor laws, district policies, and union agreements.
- May need to carry files, binders, or office supplies (typically under 25 pounds)
