Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Riverside, MO
Job Summary
Adient is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Human Resources Coordinator to support the day-to-day HR operations of our Riverside manufacturing facility. This role serves as a key resource for employees, supervisors, and managers by providing guidance on HR processes, maintaining employee records, coordinating employee programs, and ensuring a positive employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within Human Resources while gaining exposure to a variety of HR disciplines, including employee relations, HR operations, onboarding, reporting, compliance, and talent support.
Key Responsibilities
Employee & Manager Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager HR-related questions and requests.
- Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, benefits, leave programs, and self-service HR tools.
- Manage routine HR inquiries through resolution while escalating more complex matters to appropriate HR partners when necessary.
- Foster positive employee relations by delivering responsive and professional customer service.
HR Operations & Administration
- Coordinate and process HR transactions while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation activities, ensuring employees have a positive and engaging start.
- Support employee lifecycle processes including transfers, status changes, leaves of absence, and separations.
- Conduct exit meetings and assist with offboarding activities.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
HRIS & Data Management
- Process and audit HRIS transactions to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports to support business and HR decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
- Assist with HR recordkeeping and compliance requirements.
Reporting & Analytics
- Collect, analyze, and present HR-related data to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare reports, scorecards, dashboards, and workforce metrics for plant leadership and HR management.
- Track key HR indicators such as turnover, attendance, staffing, training, and employee engagement metrics.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Assist with employee events, recognition programs, communication initiatives, and engagement activities.
- Support plant-wide programs that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Coordinate participation in community, wellness, and employee appreciation events.
- Partner with management to enhance employee engagement and retention efforts.
Process Improvement & Special Projects
- Develop and maintain HR process documentation, procedures, and training materials.
- Perform root cause analysis using data and employee feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, consistency, and customer service.
- Assist with departmental projects, audits, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred
- Experience supporting HR operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors, ADP, or similar platforms.
- Experience with employee onboarding, reporting, and HR analytics.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations principles.
