Position Overview
This role leads the development and execution of strategic HR initiatives that shape company culture, strengthen organizational structure, and elevate talent across a multi state, primarily hourly/driver-based workforce.

The Director will coach HR staff and senior leaders, ensure compliance, drive employee experience improvements, and oversee all HR operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, investigations, and employment law matters.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Culture
  • Establish and implement best in class HR policies and procedures aligned with the company's mission and strategic vision.
  • Partner with executive leadership to enhance employee experience, strengthen collaboration, and foster a compassionate, thoughtful culture.
  • Conduct organizational research and trend analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Talent Management & Acquisition
  • Partner with EVP HR and regional leaders to support talent strategies across a 600 technician, multi state workforce.
  • Lead collaboration with Corporate Talent Acquisition to ensure timely hiring and strong recruiting strategies.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and support onboarding processes.
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Oversee employee disputes, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Lead all employment law matters, including EEOC responses and federal/state information requests.
  • Represent the company in personnel-related hearings and investigations when needed.
  • Ensure HR compliance across all locations and employee groups.
Training, Development & Performance
  • Develop and deliver training programs for middle management to enhance leadership capability.
  • Identify KPIs and market metrics to guide HR strategy.
  • Recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
Operational HR Leadership
  • Lead HR processes, programs, and initiatives across corporate and regional teams.
  • Serve as the primary HR liaison for all internal stakeholders.
  • Manage HR staff and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
  • Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of HR management experience, including regional or director-level leadership.
  • SPHR, GPHR, or similar HR certifications
  • Experience supporting 500+ employees across multiple locations.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical, collaborative, and decision making abilities.
  • Proven success supporting senior leadership and building strong relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience supporting "on the road or field based technical staff.
