This is a full-time, exempt position. Flexibility to work occasional irregular hours and participate in the Manager on Duty rotation is required.
Your Role on the Team
As our Human Resources Director, you will:
- Provide supervision, direction, and ongoing support to Greencroft Goshen HR team members.
- Partner with campus leadership and department supervisors on employee relations, policies, benefits, leave administration, workers’ compensation, recruitment, and other HR matters.
- Work with the Vice President of Operations and department leaders to identify current and anticipated staffing needs.
- Oversee weekly pre-hire paperwork sessions and help ensure required documentation is completed for new team members.
- Accept and process leave-of-absence requests and medical certifications in accordance with organizational policies.
- Submit workplace illness and injury claims, monitor incident investigations, coordinate transitional-duty arrangements, and respond to insurance carrier requests.
- Administer court-ordered garnishment requests and documentation.
- Support benefit eligibility notifications, enrollments, changes, terminations, and HRIS record maintenance.
- Build positive working relationships with supervisors and team members while supporting consistent application of HR policies and practices.
- Review counseling documentation and feedback forms, and advise leaders regarding employee concerns, corrective actions, and appropriate next steps.
- Escalate significant or sensitive concerns to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Corporate Director of HR, or appropriate Vice President.
- Partner with the HR Benefits Coordinator to help maintain accurate OSHA reports, EEOC records, and HRIS information.
- Communicate HR policies and procedures clearly and consistently.
- Follow legal, ethical, and sound human resources practices.
- Support team member recognition and celebration activities.
- Conduct timely feedback sessions, including annual and 90-day evaluations.
- Build and maintain a positive, collaborative, and cohesive HR team environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, communication, and service.
- Participate in organizational committees, planning groups, system projects, and initiatives as requested.
What You Bring
- An associate degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or 5–10 years of equivalent experience, is required.
- A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in human resources, payroll, and recruitment is required.
- Familiarity with Greencroft Communities or the healthcare profession is preferred.
- SHRM certification is preferred.
- Experience supervising or providing direction to HR team members.
- Working knowledge of employee relations, leave administration, workers’ compensation, benefits, HRIS processes, and employment practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people in a variety of roles.
- A dynamic, motivated, and self-directed approach to work.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management skills.
- Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other commonly used workplace technology.
