The Opportunity
We are looking for a thoughtful, people-first HR Director to lead our HR function. This is a hands-on generalist role for someone who thrives at the intersection of compliance, employee relations, and business operations, and who leads by example: sharing knowledge freely, investing in their team, and building trust at every level of the organization.

- Lead investigations into complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters with impartiality and care
Business Administration & HR Operations

- Administer and optimize Rippling (HRIS + ATS) — workflows, reporting, data integrity, and recruitment pipeline management

Compliance & Employment Law
- Ensure compliance with federal, California, and local employment laws (CFRA, FMLA, FEHA, WARN, wage & hour, etc.)
- Maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, and required training programs; partner with legal counsel as needed
- Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update practices to stay ahead of risk
