Job Purpose: The Human Resources Director is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function. The Human Resources Director acts as a liaison between and an advocate for all levels of personnel. Essential Duties: Employee relations and communication Employee recruitment and retention, Pre employment background screening process Employee policy and procedure development and administration Preparation and maintenance of the Employee Handbook 401K Plan compliance and administration FMLA compliance and administration Workers Compensation, compliance and administration Unemployment claim Company response New Hire on Boarding Employee policy and procedure education and training Monitor annual Performance Evaluation process Conduct annual compensation range analysis Review and maintenance of Company Job Descriptions Payroll Manager Responsible for the supervision of one direct report staff member Oversee the biweekly payroll function Oversee the Time and Attendance system and continuing development Monitors FLSA compliance Benefits Manager Oversees employee benefit administration Participate in annual employee benefit and cost analysis Oversees Cobra Reporting Various Compliance Reporting (EEO-1, Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics) Special projects as needed or assigned All other duties as assigned Performance Factors: Must be dependent on to report to work at the scheduled time and seldom absent from work Must be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and be conscientious about assignments Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers, co-workers, and individuals inside and outside the company Must work effectively and relate well with others including managers, co-workers, and individuals inside and outside of the company Must exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships Must comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the BRG Employee Handbook and/or the BRG Operations manual Must be available for weekends, holiday, and evening hours if necessary Must be willing to transfer to a different BRG worksite location if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Company Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience A bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in Human Resources At least three years of management experience At least five years of Human Resources management experience Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills are required. Working knowledge and understanding of business finance is beneficial Excellent computer skills are required along with the ability to create and maintain Word, Excel, and Power Point documents SHRM or HRCI certification a plus Language Skills Must have the ability to effectively communicate, present information, and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, employees, vendors, and professional business associates. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and perform basic mathematical computations Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
