Job Title: Human Resources GeneralistJob Description

The HR Generalist contributes to the overall success of the organization by providing generalist support in all areas and serving as the bridge between corporate Human Resources and our plant operations team.

Responsibilities


+ Serve as Human Resource business partner and subject matter expert on company policies, procedures, benefits, and other employee programs for your location.


+ Responsible for the maintenance of HRIS records and compiles reports from the database as needed.


+ Coordinate the maintenance of all manual departmental records.


+ Assist in coordinating non-exempt recruiting efforts including advertising, scheduling, and conducting interviews, evaluation, reference checks, hiring, scheduling, and confirming results of drug tests.


+ Conduct new employee orientation.


+ Assist in benefit orientation, enrollment, and change reporting.


+ Process all performance appraisals and status changes.


+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws governing employment; maintain current knowledge on labor market and relevant state and federal laws.


+ Assist in safety and health administration including membership on Safety Committee, accident investigation, report preparation and submission, OSHA 300 logs, verification of WC benefits, preparation of incident charts, and light duty work coordination.


+ Assist in HR policy and program development, implementation, and maintenance.


+ Conduct research and provide data to the Head of Human Resources for regular reports and special projects.


+ Coordinate the exit interview process.


+ Perform other related duties as assigned.


Essential Skills


+ 3+ years of experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing/production environment.


+ Experience with HRIS and employee relations.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.


+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.


+ Must be resourceful and a self-starter.


+ Experience in systematizing process flows for improved efficiency.


+ Ability to prioritize and multi-task.


+ Must be conscientious and detail-minded.


+ Capability to work in a fast-paced, quick-changing atmosphere.


+ Resourceful and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.


Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, quiet, and comfortable manufacturing facility with an office located in the front area of the building. The position involves working from Monday to Friday during 1st shift hours, and the dress code is business casual.

This is a Permanent position based out of Akron, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
