Description
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner in supporting employee relations, compliance, HR administration, HRIS management, and policy implementation. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with investigations, administering HR programs, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The HR Generalist will also support AI-driven initiatives and process improvements that enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Support employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Maintain HRIS, employee records, and confidential HR documentation.
Review background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verifications.
Assist with administration of leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and PFL.
Track and coordinate employee training, certifications, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with Safety on occupational health, drug testing, and compliance initiatives.
Respond to employee and manager HR inquiries and provide guidance on policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Generate HR reports, workforce analytics, organizational charts, and compliance documentation.
Support development of SOPs, employee handbooks, and HR policies.
Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and technology to improve HR processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience required.
Knowledge of employee relations, leave administration, HR compliance, and employment law.
Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
Experience with AI, automation, HR technology, or process improvement initiatives is a plus.
