Job Full Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Bilingual HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, payroll (Paychex), benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and HR programs. This role partners closely with leadership and managers to support employees and ensure efficient, compliant HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Lifecycle Management:
    Handle hiring and terminations, complete onboarding paperwork (offer letters, HR documents, non-compete/NDA), and maintain accurate employee files.
  • Staffing & Agency Coordination:
    Partner with warehouse managers to manage temporary staffing agencies and support workforce needs.
  • Benefits Administration (Health & Supplemental):
    Manage health insurance and Sun Life supplemental benefits including enrollments, coverage changes, annual open enrollment, census reporting, and employee support (cards, claims, inquiries).
  • Payroll & HRIS (Paychex):
    Process and maintain payroll-related updates including direct deposits, tax/address changes, garnishments, 401(k) deductions/loans, and benefit deductions.
    Review timecards prior to payroll (PTO, reimbursements, discrepancies) and coordinate with supervisors and Paychex support.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure compliance with employment laws, maintain required postings, assist with audits, manage Workers' Compensation claims, and respond to external agency requests.
  • HR Operations & Administration:
    Track PTO, publish holiday schedules, support compensation planning (bonuses, raises), and provide employee support as a key HR resource.
  • Leadership Support & Communication:
    Meet monthly with managers to address HR needs, attend weekly leadership meetings, and support employee relations.
  • HR Projects & Process Improvement:
    Update employee handbook, implement Paychex onboarding tools, establish performance reviews, build training programs, and develop safety programs with insurance partners.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
  • Experience in HR Generalist / Human Resources roles
  • Strong knowledge of Paychex, benefits administration, and HR compliance
  • Experience with employee relations, onboarding, and HRIS systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
