HR Generalist

Location: Carlsbad, CA (Onsite)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Pay: $28.00-$34.00/hour

Employment Type: Temp-Hire

A well-established company in the distribution industry is seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist to join its team in Carlsbad. This role will support a variety of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll support, training, and compliance. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being a resource for employees and can successfully balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel record management

  • Assist with recruiting efforts, interview scheduling, and hiring coordination

  • Help administer employee benefits and serve as a resource for employee questions

  • Support payroll processes and maintain accurate HRIS records

  • Assist with workers' compensation administration and follow-up

  • Partner with managers to support staffing and workforce needs

  • Coordinate training records and employee development initiatives

  • Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws

  • Participate in employee engagement and culture-focused initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience

  • Bilingual Spanish required

  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, and employee relations

  • Experience working with HRIS platforms; ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred

  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law compliance, and employee support

  • Ability to build relationships with employees and managers at all levels

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

Pay Details: $28.00 to $34.00 per hour
