Human Resources Generalist

• Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare HR documentation including status changes, disciplinary forms, and employment verifications.
•  Assist with policy implementation and ensure adherence to established HR procedures.
• Serve as an initial point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.).
• Maintain accurate I‑9 records and ensure compliance with E‑Verify requirements.
• Assist the HR Manager with employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting concerns, and supporting investigations as directed.
• Promote consistent application of company policies and support a positive work environment.
• Assist employees with benefit enrollment, eligibility questions, and life‑event changes.
• Assists with coordinating with benefit providers to resolve employee issues and maintain accurate records.
• Support HR Manager with annual processes such as open enrollment, compensation reviews, and policy updates.
• Support payroll processes by assisting with E-time setups and issues as needed.
• Assist with incident reporting, workers’ compensation claims, and follow‑up documentation.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by HR Manager.

• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

•  Primarily office‑based with periodic visits to construction sites as needed.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to maintain professionalism in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
