Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist Representative provides professional human resources support across a broad range of HR functions. This position serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers by interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures, and employment practices. The HR Generalist Representative independently administers HR programs, resolves non-routine employee relations matters, and supports organizational initiatives related to talent management, compensation, training, and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and interpretation on complex or non-routine human resources policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Advise supervisors and employees on HR-related issues, ensuring consistent application of company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Administer and coordinate HR programs including:
  • Assist with employee relations matters by conducting fact-finding, documenting issues, and recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding as needed.
  • Maintain employee records and HR information systems while ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Participate in compensation and salary administration processes, including:
    • Market analysis
    • Pay recommendations
    • Annual review cycles
  • Coordinate employee training programs and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Prepare reports, analyze workforce data, and recommend process improvements to enhance HR operations.
  • Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries regarding HR programs and policies.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and other special HR projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically requires 3–5 years of progressively responsible human resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR principles, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and exercise sound judgment in resolving employee issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities.

Supervision
  • Works under minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment in carrying out assigned responsibilities.
  • Refers only the most complex or sensitive issues to HR leadership.
