HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST Full Time / Salaried / JusticeWorks Location: Forest Hills, PA Who We Are KidsFirst! JusticeWorks is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support employees and leaders across employee relations, leave administration, compliance, HRIS, and day-to-day HR operations. Position Overview The Human Resources Generalist provides practical HR guidance, supports compliance and employee relations, manages leave processes, and helps ensure consistent HR practices in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. What You Will Do - Advise leaders and employees on HR policies, employee relations, onboarding, and personnel changes.
- Manage HRIS updates, employee records, terminations, and reporting.
- Oversee FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, disability, military, and unpaid leave administration.
- Partner with managers on corrective action, performance management, and documentation.
- Support unemployment claims, compliance activities, audits, and HR process improvements.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or employee relations-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, leave administration, employee relations, and compliance.
- Experience advising managers on corrective action, documentation, policy interpretation, and performance matters.
- Multi-state HR and HRIS experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, judgment, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior human services, nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or community-based experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
