ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Track employee time & attendance and communicate needed edits with supervisors and managers
  • Prepare weekly hourly payroll
  • Full cycle recruiting from job posting to onboarding
  • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
  • Process employees' queries and respond in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date and comply with changes in labor legislation
  • Assist in safety training and tracking
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
  • Payroll experience in ADP is a must
  • Prior HR experience required
  • 360 recruiting experience required
  • Strong safety background preferred
Education and/or Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor's Degree and/or 5-7 years payroll experience is a must
  • Previous experience working with a payroll, time & attendance system. Recruiting and onboarding is preferred
  • Experience in employee relations
  • Basic benefits knowledge
  • Must have the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint at a high level
  • The ability to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to use basic math skills to verify information in payroll as needed.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a normal office environment. This position occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane and solvents. Extended CRT viewing and keyboarding exists. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Onsite work at Gallatin, TN facility as well as opportunities to travel to our Maryville, TN and Kansas City, KS facilities.
