Human Resources Generalist I

For our North American headquarters, located in La Mirada, California, we have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Generalist I.
Summary
The Human Resources Generalist I contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives with a goal to provide a team member-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and high ethical standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources Generalist I assists with the implementation of services, policies, and programs.
This position provides operational, human resources, administrative, and executive support primarily to the Human Resources department, Facilities department, and the Chief Executive Officer. Provides support, as needed, to various departments within the company.

Responsibilities
- Maintains team member confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource and corporate information confidential.
- Ensure compliance of company policies and procedures by setting a model example of behavior.
- Recommend, create and revise company policies and procedures, including the maintenance through regular review for best practices.
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Secondary liaison to contracted Professional Employment Organization (PEO)
- Oversees the administration of assessment vendors, ensuring adequate credits.
- Schedules interviews, greets candidates, administers assessments and facilitates the interview process, presenting a positive, professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Assembles new hire packets and conducts other new hire onboarding tasks as assigned.
- Administers the company learning management system including preparing training rosters, entry of attendance logs and scheduling of training.
- Schedules training for all team members, both using internal resources and external vendors as needed.
- Submits team member data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Prepares documentation on all processes; continually seeking best practices and ways to automate manual processes, when possible.
- Administers and maintains vendor accounts as they relate to human resources and facilities (i.e. 24 Hour Fitness, Thomas profiles, Big5, etc.).
- Administrative support to CEO;
- Maintain company vehicle registrations, insurance and gas card to ensure compliance and use of vehicles; coordinates the check in and check out of company vehicles.
- Coordinate travel for CEO and other Team Leaders and staff as needed.
- File and maintain electronic team member files
- Maintain office supplies and respond to Facilities requests for office supplies and other administrative responsibilities.
- Responsible for team member and corporate event coordination (Family Day, Year-end party, Flu shots, BBQs, etc.).
- Keeps accurate records of discussions or other communications with vendors.
- Prepares and distributes monthly birthday cards, years of service awards and anniversary baskets.
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
- Superior verbal and written English language communication skills
- 0-2 years of human resources generalist experience
- Strong Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to type 55 wpm when tested
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screen
Other Requirements
May be required to attend and participate in professional development activities both in and outside the company to stay abreast of new developments and best practices.

At IQAir, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is between $33.65 and $36.06 hourly. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
