Reports to: Assistant Superintendent, HR Generalist II Approved: MEA
Position Objective
The HR Generalist provides support for Human Resources functions.
Essential Functions:
- Serves as Evaluwise administrator: enters users, makes system changes as needed, and tracks and prints certified evaluations
- Serves as Public School Works administrator: Manages employee enrollment, develops and implements employee training assignments and schedules; monitors employee training reports and follows up with employees that have not completed training
- Coordinates district volunteer paperwork and onboarding process
- Answers AppliTrack questions, removes job postings, and uploads documents
- Processes annual mailing of reasonable assurance letters and dismissal letters to employees
- Monitors teaching/paraprofessional licenses and renewals and communicates with teachers/aides/administrators as necessary
- Assist with new hire paperwork processing as requested by HR Generalist II
- Creates employee badges
- Enrolls employees on the physical Time Clock
- Maintains/updates Administrator contracts
- Manages employee medical and FMLA paperwork and leave; prepares, sends, and maintains paperwork and records, tracks leaves; enters leaves in Aesop/iVisions
- Enters purchase order requests and invoices as directed by the Assistant Superintendent
- Processes verification of employment requests and information
- Provides clerical support for District Office Staff as needed
Additional Functions:
- Backup for Accounts Payable
- Addresses incoming phone calls/walk-ins
- Performs other such duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation preferred
- Knowledge of employment laws
- 1+ year experience in human resources
- Previous experience with HR systems required
