Automotive Manufacturing company is seeking a PART-TIME HR Generalist who will be involved with all aspects of Human Resources, and will be a point of contact for all HR related items. We are a growing company in need of a part-time HR Generalist (may become full time) to help keep us keep in compliance with labor law and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff regarding general inquiries related to employee relations
  • Assist to prepare documentation associated with disciplinary action and employee performance
  • Assist in data entry / maintenance for existing staff, as well as incoming new hires.
  • Assist in coordination of on-boarding and new hire orientations
  • Understand all company policies and assist with federal and state regulatory compliance
  • Discretion and Confidentiality when dealing with employee issues
  • Assist to maintain clear concise documentation on HR related issues
  • Assist with advice and direction to management on HR related issues
  • Assist in management of recruitment process
  • Assist to recruit and source talent, post open positions and manage internal interviews as appropriate.

Required Skills:

  • Experienced, hands-on HR Generalist who has worked closely with management and fellow staff to complete projects, manage initiatives, and proactively address issues to create a cohesive team environment
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Must be proactive in creating strategies and delivery methods for solutions under time constraints
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/automotive industry company - preferred
  • Must display high Emotional Intelligence and professionalism
  • Strong knowledge in California Labor and employment laws

PHR / SPHR certification preferred
