The Mississippi Department of Banking and Consumer Finances (DBCF) mission is to regulate, supervise, and safeguard financial institutions chartered and licensed in Mississippi. With a vision of excellence in financial supervision, DBCF conducts examinations of all state-chartered banks, thrifts, credit unions, independent trust companies, mortgage lenders, small loan companies, insurance premium finance companies, motor vehicle sales companies, pawnbrokers, title pledge lenders, consumer loan brokers, check cashers (payday lenders), money transmitters, credit availability companies, and debt management service providers. About the Position
This is a second-level Human Resources professional position accountable for administering agency human resources programs, policies, and procedures related to recruitment and selection, classification, salary analysis, benefits, appointments, performance evaluation, training and development, and employee engagement. Provides consultation and advice to managers, supervisors and employees on human resources issues including grievances, investigations and employee relations issues. May exercise limited supervision over lower-level human resources staff. Must have experience in SPAHRS and MAGIC EC. Must have familiarity with entering new hires, salary adjustments, deductions, benefits and other day to day HR tasks. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Paid Personal Leave and Sick Leave
Full-time employees receive paid time off for personal needs and for sick leave. Leave begins accruing after one month of employment and may be used as it is accrued. Employees earn approximately 18 days of personal leave annually and 12 days of sick leave annually.

In accordance with federal law, all employees serving in the armed forces or the military reserves are entitled to 15 days per year for military training.
