Responsible for Human Resource duties surrounding management of employee relations, benefit administration, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding for the Kentucky location. Partners with Human Resources team to continually improve processes and utilize technology to the fullest.
The information to which the employee has access is highly confidential, proprietary information which addresses employee achievement, compensation and overall performance. Such information is to be used for planning, discipline and administration of the Human Resources function and for no other purpose. In this role at the Company, information regarding employees available to the employee in his/her role at the Company should not be shared with others or otherwise communicated or disseminated without the prior authorization of the Director of Human Resources. Any impermissible use or disclosure will subject the employee to discipline up to and including termination from employment. Questions concerning what is and is not confidential, proprietary information should be addressed with the Director of Human Resources prior to dissemination.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Post open positions, screen, and interview candidates to gather information regarding education, experience, training, job skills and salary requirements. May travel to various job fairs or assist with company tours surrounding Belmark recruiting initiatives.
- Schedule and coordinate follow-up interviews with company supervisors. Conduct pre-employment checks for selected candidates.
- Partner with Plant Management to discuss upcoming company needs and develop sources of qualified candidates.
- Conduct new hire orientation, on-boarding and follow up interviews/check-ins.
- Administer FMLA, Short Term Disability and/or Long Term Disability leave for employees in assigned areas; collect and submit necessary paperwork. Informs employee, department supervisor and Payroll of all updates.
- Coordinates and performs exit interviews and off-boarding for employees in assigned areas.
- Responsible for administration of random drug testing program at assigned location.
- Assists in enrollment and ensures appropriate paperwork is completed for eligible employees into various company benefits through HRIS and external vendors.
- Answer routine inquiries about benefits and claims processing in line with company policies. Assists with annual training, testing and health risk appraisals.
- Responsible for processing job changes and updating employee profiles in the HRIS. Maintain open and effective communication of changes with Payroll.
- Collaborates with HR team and cross functionally to research and implement process and technology improvements.
- Responsible to assist corporate Human Resources to manage employee relations at the facility, including but not limited to, investigations, performance improvement planning, and employee communications.
- Attend trainings and seminars to retain knowledge of employment law and ensures adherence to legislative requirements and company policies.
- May assist with coordinating on-site employee meetings and events.
- May serve as back-up and may share job duties with other Human Resource Generalists.
- May be required to attend on-site meetings and events at corporate location in De Pere, WI.
- May complete special projects as assigned by Human Resources Manager.
- Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Ability to effectively utilize (writing, speaking, reading) the English language.
- Must understand people and be able to communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner.
- Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the organization at any given point in time.
- Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment.
- Must be able to resolve problem, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow implicit and explicit written and oral instructions.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Requires education as is generally acquired in four (4) years of college with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration; and/or four (4) years of human resources experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Standing and walking required for up to 30% of work time.
