Human Resources Generalist (Hybrid)
 
Salary Range: $65,000–$75,000 per year
 
Are you looking to build your career in Human Resources while making a meaningful impact? RFK Community Alliance, a mission-driven human services nonprofit, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational HR experience who is eager to learn, grow, and expand their knowledge across all areas of Human Resources. You'll work alongside experienced HR professionals, gain hands-on experience in a variety of HR functions, and play an important role in supporting our employees and advancing our mission. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate background checks and onboarding documentation.
  • Administer leave of absence (FMLA), tuition reimbursement, and workers' compensation programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, including new hires, employee changes, and reporting.
  • Audit HRIS data and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain confidential personnel files and assist with compliance audits and surveys.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other HR documentation.
  • Provide responsive, service-oriented support to employees and managers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR activities.
  • Support additional HR projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • A customer-focused approach with professionalism, patience, and empathy.
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in Human Resources and a willingness to learn.
Experience/Education
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1–2 years of general Human Resources experience.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems, or the ability to quickly learn new technology.
