    Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc., a leader in the HVAC industry, has an opening for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator at our facility in Madison, GA.

    For 110 years, Bard Manufacturing Company has been a family owned and operated company, leading the HVAC industry in the modular, classroom, equipment shelter, and other light commercial markets. With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia, and Mexico, we service our customers both nationwide and internationally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineered products.

    Scope and Responsibilities:

    The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing administrative and generalist human resources functions. This position carries out responsibilities in benefits administration, leave administration, employee relations, and assists in enforcing company policies and procedures.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Assists in recruiting, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
    • Implement new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
    • Coordinates employees’ leaves of absence, such as FMLA, STD, LTD. Provides timely feedback to employees upon request of a LOA and/or receipt of a certification from physician
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings and investigations.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recognition and service award programs, uniforms, safety shoes and prescription safety glass programs; weekday and weekend overtime for production employees; attendance system; updating internal communications via electronic monitors; and assists with Activities Committee and Wellness Committees.
    • Track quarterly perfect attendance for employees.
    • Assists with employee relations and keeps HR Manager informed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Performs benefits administration for Madison employees, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees. Coordinates new benefits enrollment for Madison location and annual open enrollment periods for Madison.

    Required Experience:

    The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
    • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred
    • Must possess a thorough knowledge of federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
    • Effective interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines under pressure
    • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
