We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Miami, Florida. This position will support a broad range of HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, I-9 proccesing, FMLA, ADA, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively partner with employees and managers at all levels. Strong knowledge of Florida employment practices and excellent communication skills are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Offboarding
Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation
Ensure completion of new hire documentation, including Form I-9 and required employment forms
Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements as applicable
Partner with internal departments to ensure new employees have appropriate systems access, equipment, and resources
Manage employee offboarding and termination processes
Employee Relations
Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management
Provide guidance to managers on HR best practices and company policies
Promote a positive, professional, and inclusive workplace culture
HR Compliance
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files
Assist with HR audits and compliance reporting
Ensure employment documentation is properly completed and maintained
Stay informed of changes to employment laws and HR best practices affecting Florida employers
Employee Engagement & Development
Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
Coordinate employee events, company activities, and wellness programs
Assist with performance review and employee development programs
Analyze employee feedback and HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
HRIS & Reporting
Maintain accurate employee information within the HRIS
Process employee changes, including hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations
Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics for management
Conduct periodic audits of employee data to ensure accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
Strong knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR administration
Working knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws and regulations
Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Paylocity, or Paycom
Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees
