Human Resources Generalist

Under the general direction of the Director, Training, Development and Credentialing, the HR Generalist in Training & Development (T&D) serves as the operational engine and project lead for the college’s talent development, onboarding, and internal communication initiatives. Operating with minimal supervision, this role focuses on the end-to-end management of professional development workshops, large-scale institutional events, divisional communications, and continuous process improvement. The Generalist partners closely with HR leadership, the Training and Development Partners, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams to design and execute a seamless transition from candidate to colleague, ensuring all initiatives align with MATC’s culture and values. Work requires the use of independent judgment, working from broad institutional and divisional policies and general objectives.

Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirement, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.
Required Education & Experience: Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in an HR generalist, talent acquisition, or HR operations role.
Preferred Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; and two (2) or more years of experience in an HR generalist or talent operations role, with demonstrated experience supporting both recruiting and employee relations functions. Experience in higher education or public sector HR is preferred.
Preferred Licensure/Certification: PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent professional HR certification. Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, or completion of a recognized project management certification or training program
