HR Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist is directly responsible for the day to day administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
At least 1-3 years of human resource experience including a working knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and best practices
Direct experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong time management, and problem solving skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Bamboo or other HRIS system is desired
Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed
Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
Serves as the point of contact for employment relations and handling of sensitive and confidential employee issues. Investigates complaints, accidents; reports findings and suggests course of action or resolution.
Oversees the employment processes including recruitment, candidate screening, interviewing, pre-employment screening, and on-boarding. Facilitates and supports activities related to hiring and on-boarding contracted employees
Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leaves, and employee recognition
Maintains accurate and complete employee records. Ensures confidentiality of all employee files and information
Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization
