HR Generalist (Temp-to-Hire) | Hybrid | Oakland, CA This is a
temp-to-hire opportunity offering a collaborative team environment, meaningful work, and long-term growth potential.
Schedule & Location - Hybrid schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote

Compensation - Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Key Responsibilities - Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a resource for employee questions
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work processes
- Facilitate onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee paperwork
- Maintain HRIS records and personnel files
- Process benefits invoices and support benefits administration activities
- Respond to employee inquiries through the HR ticketing system
- Support compliance initiatives, policies, and HR best practices
- Assist with open enrollment planning, employee education, and issue resolution
- Partner with brokers and benefit providers to address employee needs
Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Benefits administration
- Workers' compensation
- Employee onboarding and orientation
- HR compliance and recordkeeping
- HRIS administration
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to build relationships and effectively support employees at all levels
Preferred: - Nonprofit industry experience
- Experience supporting open enrollment and vendor management
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
