Job Title: Human Resources GeneralistJob Description

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner to facility leadership, supporting day-to-day HR operations and ensuring alignment with organizational policies, practices, and strategic objectives. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role provides comprehensive human resources support across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, performance management, benefits administration, and workforce development. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted resource for employees and managers, fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring consistent application of policies, and supporting business objectives through effective HR practices. This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while driving programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day human resources operations and serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers.

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offer administration, and onboarding.

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive and engaging employee experience.

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and leaders on company policies, procedures, and HR best practices.

  • Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, documentation, and corrective action processes.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as internal policies and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Support performance management processes, including annual reviews, coaching, and development planning.

  • Coordinate and support training and professional development initiatives to build workforce capability.

  • Administer employee benefit programs and assist with open enrollment activities and related communications.

  • Support payroll-related processes through accurate and timely submission of employee data, changes, and updates.

  • Monitor attendance, leaves of absence, accommodations, and related programs, including compliance with FMLA and ADA requirements.

  • Track, analyze, and report human resources metrics to support organizational decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational changes, and talent management initiatives.

  • Support employee engagement programs and promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.

  • Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and preparation of regulatory documentation.

  • Participate in human resources projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and services.

Essential Skills

  • Strong knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and talent management systems.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.

  • Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and performance management functions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR is a plus.

  • Experience in human resources, employee relations, onboarding, recruiting, and payroll.

  • Demonstrated ability to support leadership and influence a strong workplace culture.

  • Comfort working in a growing organization where the HR function plays a strategic role.

Work Environment

This position is based in a primarily office environment with regular use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment. The role involves the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform routine office tasks throughout the workday, with occasional lifting and carrying of materials up to 25 pounds. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.50 - $32.00/hr.
