Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Human Resources Generalist to join our team at a growing
solar panel manufacturing facility. This position will support a six-month project with the potential for permanent employment based on business needs and individual performance.
The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting employees and leadership while helping maintain a positive, productive, and compliant workplace. This individual will be responsible for assisting with a variety of human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, recruiting, policy administration, performance management, and HR compliance.
Compensation: $58,000$62,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR-related questions and concerns.
- Support employee relations and assist with resolving workplace issues professionally and confidentially.
- Coordinate and support employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
- Assist with recruiting efforts, including reviewing candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel documentation.
- Assist with performance management processes and employee coaching documentation.
- Support attendance tracking and workplace policy administration.
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with investigations related to employee concerns and workplace incidents.
- Partner with operations and manufacturing leadership to support workforce needs.
- Help promote employee engagement, communication, and a positive workplace culture.
- Support HR reporting, audits, and other administrative projects as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- Previous experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or production environment is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and employee relations practices.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting hourly and production-based workforces.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or other HR certification preferred.
- Experience with workforce development and employee engagement initiatives.
