Opportunity Snapshot EpiVax is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support a growing, innovation-driven biotech organization. This role will help manage day-to-day HR operations across recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, HR documentation, employee engagement, and performance management support. The position reports to the CEO and works closely with leaders and employees across the company.
Role Mandate
Serve as a reliable HR point of contact for employees and managers, providing responsive support and escalating sensitive matters appropriately. Support full-cycle recruiting activity, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, hiring documentation, and onboarding. Coordinate and manage the new employee onboarding process to ensure a professional, organized, and welcoming experience. Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, organizational charts, and HR systems data in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements. Support HR compliance, employee handbook updates, policy documentation, and coordination with outside legal or professional advisors as directed. Assist with performance management processes, employee surveys, training coordination, exit interviews, and employee engagement initiatives. Coordinate consultant onboarding, agreement tracking, invoice approval follow-up, and related HR administrative processes as needed. Support community, social responsibility, outreach, wellness, and employee engagement programs that strengthen EpiVax's culture.
Benefits Administration
Support employee benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence, PTO, and COBRA processes. Coordinate benefit enrollments, employee communications, required documentation, and vendor or broker follow-up. Maintain accurate benefits records and help ensure benefit-related processes align with company policies and applicable requirements. Assist employees with benefits questions and help provide clear, timely, and service-oriented support.

This person should be comfortable balancing administrative precision with sound judgment, employee confidentiality, and a service-oriented approach. They should be able to operate in a growing organization where priorities can shift and where strong follow-through, clear communication, and professionalism are essential. Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Two to five years of HR experience preferred, ideally in life sciences, biotechnology, professional services, or another regulated or technical environment. Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance. Familiarity with HRIS or payroll/HR platforms such as ADP and BambooHR preferred. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred, or willingness to pursue certification with company support. Strong organization, judgment, communication, problem-solving, confidentiality, adaptability, and follow-through.
