Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000
A stable, growing, employee-owned industrial manufacturing company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join its team in the St. Paul / North Metro Area.
With nearly 150 years in business and approximately 300 full-time employees, this organization has built a strong reputation for quality, long-term stability, and employee commitment. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this role offers broad exposure across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, HR operations, compliance, and leadership support responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working within a structured, team-oriented manufacturing environment and takes pride in organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
Responsibilities- Support full-cycle recruiting and onboarding activities
- Assist employees and managers with HR-related questions and employee relations matters
- Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, I-9 documentation, and job descriptions
- Coordinate leave administration including FMLA, short-term disability, and related programs
- Support performance management and coaching activities
- Participate in HR initiatives tied to continuous improvement and company growth
- Assist with compliance and employment-related documentation
- Support a collaborative and positive workplace culture
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
- Strong recruiting and interviewing skills
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment experience is a plus
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
