Compensation: $31-$32 per hour.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under guidance from the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for planning, coordinating, administering and monitoring personnel and compliance activities for the Community in accordance with the following principle duties.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  • Actively supports the recruitment process. Activities include working with hiring managers on recruitment needs, reviewing applications, prescreening candidates, posting/maintaining job posts in the ATS, scheduling interviews and following up with candidates.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientations and employee training. Also, works with rest of human resources team to coordinate and manage employee events
  • Processes and manages Workers' Compensation claims at the community.
  • Provides guidance and support for employee leaves of absence; manages the process through return to work.
  • Provides benefits enrollment communication and assistance as appropriate. Assists employees with insurance plan questions and troubleshooting.
  • Under the guidance of the HR Director, assists with employee relations issues with through effective communication and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assists with enforcement and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures, projects and reports as needed. Works closely with Director and other HR staff members on projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of three years human resources experience preferably in a health care, hospitality or similar environment
  • Sensitivity to maintain confidentiality of private data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as HRIS, LMS, ATS and other HR technologies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, workers' compensation, leaves of absence, employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, use good judgment, prioritization skills and be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manager.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast paced environment while remaining calm and positive under pressure at all times.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Must display a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude toward the residents, other employees, and the public.
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management or related field a plus
