Position Summary:
 
The Human Resources Generalist provides support for the HR activities associated with the Virginia Heart workforce. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinator for employee engagement activities including employee events and survey action planning and communications.
  • Field basic questions concerning policies, procedures, and processes.      
  • Provide support to the human resource team, including file maintenance, running reports, and supporting on/off boarding processes.  
  • Coordinate new hire (onboarding) paperwork, badges and maintenance of employee personnel files ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Respond to low-level employee relations issues.
  • Assist with recruiting process, including proactive sourcing, resume reviews, initial phone screens, interview scheduling, coordinating open houses. 
  • Coordinate quarterly HR content for company newsletter.
  • Performs other HR duties/projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a business discipline; broad application of human resources principles.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years hands on human resources experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills, attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  • Strong computer literacy including command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using both HRIS and ATS systems. (ADP Comprehensive preferred)
  • Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a wide variety of experiences, backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple projects while providing
