HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Administrator of Human Resources and the Office of Human Resources and oversees the following:
  • All parental leaves and employee accruals, medical leaves for support staff; may support sick bank requests
  • Personnel changes (i.e. new hires, transfers, FTE changes, rehires, etc)
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Salary and degree lane changes
  • Supports employee onboarding
  • Verification of employment and retirement related requests
  • Election sheets; Pertinent internal and external human resources communication including the use of social media
  • Filing
  • Responding to emails from employees to the HR department
  • Maintaining attendance records
  • Reviews CORI and Fingerprinting results for new employees
  • Posts and tracks vacant positions in multiple websites
  • May assume some of the duties of other members in the HR Team in their absence
  • Performs similar or related work as required or as the situation dictates

Qualifications:

  • Technically proficient in Google and Microsoft Suites
  • Familiarity with school human resources systems including Talent Ed (Applicant tracking and Records); Frontline (Attendance); and Munis or experience with similar systems
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through; high sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully balance multiple projects concurrently and work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation and excel skills.
  • Ability to develop systems that achieve efficiency, scalability, and duration.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to be effective and take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic, ambitious environment.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing applicant tracking platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Preferred qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese

Job Environment:

  • Most work is performed in an office environment with constant interruptions. Frequently subjected to the stress of other individuals and the volume and/or rapidity with which tasks must be accomplished.
  • Operates all standard office equipment.
  • Makes contact with necessary personnel in person and by phone, and involve discussing routine and semi-complex information.
  • Has access to confidential information for which the application of appropriate judgment, discretion and professional office protocols is required.

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 based on experience

12 months
