Position Description
Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and professional development to attract and retain top employee talent. Supports and contributes to the achievement of departmental objectives by proactively addressing College staffing needs, human resource issues, interpreting policies and procedures, and various projects.
Responsible for managing the institution's benefits programs and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations in higher education. The role focuses on administering employee benefits, overseeing payroll processes, and maintaining HR information systems. This position is critical in safeguarding the institution's legal and ethical standing while supporting employee well-being through comprehensive benefits management.

Assessment:Contributes to assessment for continuous quality improvement of the professional development activities coordinated by the office. Maintains a Blackboard Ultra Professional Development Course to track employee participation in College-sponsored professional development.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, management, or a related area plus three to five years of relevant experience in the HR field is required OR an Associate's degree plus four to seven years of relevant experience in the HR field.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel pivot tables required.
Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills, a high level of organizational ability, attention to detail, self-initiative, and dependability are required.
Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or SHRM certification/designation preferred.
