    Position Description

    Provide operational, analytical, and systems support to Human Resources, with responsibility for HRIS administration, employee data management, reporting, process improvement, and HR technology initiatives. Serve as a key resource for maintaining accurate employee information, developing HR reports and analytics, supporting institutional and regulatory reporting, and improving HR processes and systems.

    Serve as the HR lead for the transition from Ellucian Colleague to Workday, representing Human Resources throughout planning, data migration, testing, process design, implementation, training, and post-launch support. Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, Information Technology, Institutional Research, vendors, and other campus partners to support effective HR operations, data integrity, and the successful use of HR technology.

    This position is required to work on-site with the possibility of hybrid after 3months of employment

    Position Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary HR resource for the administration, maintenance, and effective use of HR systems, including Colleague, CROA, NEOED, Workday, and other applicable platforms.
    • Serve as the HR lead for the transition from Ellucian Colleague to Workday, representing Human Resources throughout planning, configuration, data migration, testing, process design, implementation, training, and post-launch support.
    • Maintain accurate and complete employee data through data entry, audits, corrections, updates, file maintenance, and ongoing review. Identify and resolve data discrepancies and support strong data governance practices.
    • Develop, maintain, and analyze recurring and ad hoc HR reports to support workforce planning, audits, institutional reporting, leadership requests, and other business needs.
    • Coordinate and prepare HR data submissions for annual, institutional, regulatory, and compliance reporting, including surveys and other required submissions.
    • Evaluate HR processes and system functionality and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and service delivery.
    • Support and coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and new functionality through requirements gathering, testing, validation, issue resolution, and implementation support.
    • Develop and maintain HR process documentation, business requirements, process flows, user guides, standard operating procedures, and other departmental resources.
    • Support the maintenance, migration, retention, and electronic storage of employee records while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable policies and requirements.
    • Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and Payroll, Information Technology, Institutional Research, vendors, and other internal and external partners on HR data, systems, reporting, and process needs.
    • Support HR initiatives through project planning, coordination, communication, testing, implementation, and follow-up activities.
    • Assist HR colleagues and campus stakeholders with HR data, reporting, systems, and operational needs, while demonstrating fairness, integrity, confidentiality, and alignment with the Universitys mission and values.
    • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Two years of experience working in the Higher Education field.
    • Minimum two years of experience in Human Resources, HR operations, HRIS administration, employee data management, reporting, or a related area.
    • Experience working with an HRIS or comparable enterprise system, including employee data maintenance, reporting, audits, data validation, and records management.
    • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
    • Working knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment laws, regulatory requirements, and employee data confidentiality.
    • Experience collaborating with Payroll and other cross-functional partners.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
    • Ability to support the Christian values and mission of the University.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Ellucian Colleague and/or Workday.
    • Experience supporting an HRIS implementation, system migration, upgrade, or other HR technology initiative.
    • Experience developing HR reports, process documentation, user guides, training materials, or standard operating procedures.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Working knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment laws, regulatory requirements, employee data management, and confidentiality standards.
    • Knowledge of HRIS platforms, reporting, auditing, records management, and HR systems processes.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain HR systems, processes, and data clearly to diverse audiences.
    • Ability to support system implementations, testing, data migration, process improvement, documentation, and training activities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with HR, Payroll, Information Technology, Institutional Research, vendors, and other stakeholders while managing multiple priorities and maintaining confidentiality.

    Part-time staff who are scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week schedule are eligible for employer contribution towards the retirement plan after one year of employment. Eligibility rules apply. Adjunct faculty may make employee deferral contributions towards the retirement plan.

    Part-Time Graduate Assistant Coaches are eligible for participation in the Tuition Remission Coaches Program.

    Temporary, Contractors and Seasonal Employees: Individuals in this status are scheduled on an as-needed-basis and are not eligible for participation in the University's benefits programs.
