Position Summary The Human Resources Manager is instrumental in guiding the development, implementation, maintenance and review of guidelines, protocols, and policies that enhance the employment experience of faculty, staff, and leadership. The position entails providing information, advice, and support for constituents including employees, independent contractors, and volunteers. Diverse functions of the position include oversight of recruitment and onboarding, advising on employee/employer relations, coaching and performance management assistance, advising on compensation, and staffing and absence management support. Key Responsibilities - Partners with leadership team and employment attorneys to ensure that employment policies and practices are in compliance with legal requirements, and promote wellbeing for employees and the organization
- Develop and maintain business communication materials including policies, procedures, guidelines, job descriptions, training materials, performance appraisals, performance improvement plan, and insurance benefit guides
- Review employment related school policies, practices, and procedures to assist in ensuring policies are in accord with legal requirements, school goals and that policies are communicated and applied consistently and equitably
- Benefits administration including plan design, eligibility determination, enrollment, disenrollment, and legal compliance for full spectrum of employer offered benefits including but not limited to retirement plans, medical coverage, dental coverage, life insurance, disability coverage, Flexible Spending Account, COBRA administration, and paid time off
- Administer and manage leave of absence requests, manage unemployment insurance claims processing, manage workers compensation claims processing.
- Oversee payroll processing including implementing and reviewing payroll processing systems
- Proactively make recommendations to address potential concerns and resolve work related conflicts
- Advise and assist Leadership Team and supervisors in managing employee relations, addressing issues that impact employee engagement, handling personnel issues and assist in development and implementation of effective conflict resolution
- Address and assist in the resolution of deficient performance, employee dissension, complaints of policy violation, harassment and discrimination, and other employee related matters
- Oversee management of recruitment and employee selection process including creating and maintaining effective job descriptions and job postings, strategic advertising placement, job description review and analysis, providing guidance on recruiting and hiring best practices
- Oversees onboarding, benefit eligibility and enrollment, coordinates training, administers performance review process and manages offboarding
- Manage database and initiate training requests to new hires onboarding and ongoing compliance training requirements
- Maintains Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) data, enter and update records, compile statistical reports for internal management reports and for required federal, state, and county reports
Skills - Demonstrated proficiency in employee/employer relations and compensation and benefits administration.
- Experienced in use of Microsoft Office Professional software and HRIS
- Organized with ability to effectively prioritize multiple time sensitive projects
- Maintains high level of ethics, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to form collaborative work relationships

Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field
- Five to Seven years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary Consideration: The estimated base annual salary for this full-time role is from$85K. The final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include job-related work experience; industry experience; education; skills; and knowledge.
