We're looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our Allendale, NJ office and work closely with our Director of Human Resources to serve as the go-to resource for our 200+ employees across all things HR. As the Director moves into a more strategic focus, this role is central to keeping our HR function running smoothly and our employees well supported day to day.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who knows HR inside and out and is ready to contribute from day one. You'll be the face of HR for our employees - handling everything from benefits administration and employee relations to compliance and talent acquisition support. If you're the kind of HR professional who genuinely enjoys being a resource for people and takes pride in getting the details right, this role was built for you.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage the full employee lifecycle - onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and offboarding
    • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees at our Allendale and Bloomingdale, NJ locations (occasional travel between sites required)
    • Lead benefits administration including our self-funded medical plan, open enrollment, and new hire benefits orientation
    • Handle employee relations matters including investigations and disciplinary situations with sound, independent judgment
    • Manage leave of absence administration (FMLA, STD, LTD) and workers' compensation claims
    • Own the I-9 compliance process including periodic audits
    • Support talent acquisition through background checks, drug screenings, and pre-adverse action processes
    • Manage drug and alcohol compliance programs including DISA and internal quarterly random programs
    • Oversee our employee recognition program and contribute to company events and culture initiatives
    • Partner with Payroll on the Fixed and Variable Vehicle (MOTUS) program and expense policy compliance
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all locations

    What You Bring

    • 5-7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience with the ability to work independently in ambiguous or sensitive situations
    • Demonstrated experience in benefits administration including medical, dental, life, STD/LTD, and Section 125 benefits; experience with self-funded medical plans is a strong plus
    • Solid knowledge of federal and state labor laws; multi-state experience is a plus
    • Experience conducting employee investigations and counseling managers on performance issues
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent
    • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
    • Proficiency with UKG Ready or UKG Pro is preferred
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus given our Puerto Rico operations
    • A service mindset - you genuinely enjoy being a resource for people and take pride in being responsive and helpful

    What You Can Expect

    • A close working relationship with the Director of Human Resources - you'll have a collaborative partner and a resource, while also having the autonomy to own your work
    • A collaborative team environment where your contributions matter from day one
    • A company that lives its values: Customer Focus, Collaboration, Innovation, Integrity, and Passion
    • The opportunity to grow with a company that is investing in its people and its HR function
    • This is a full-time, on-site position based in Allendale, NJ
