The role oversees recruitment and selection, onboarding, training and development, performance management, total rewards administration, HRIS/data management, employee relations, and HR policy governance for the organization. The HR Manager ensures compliance with applicable federal and Kansas state employment laws and regulations.

Additional Essential Functions

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and KANSAS state employment laws and regulations. 

Develop and execute HR and people strategy aligned to organizational goals, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, engagement, retention, and succession planning.

Manages full-cycle recruitment for assigned openings, including job analysis and description updates, posting and advertising, candidate screening, interview coordination, selection, and compliant reference/background checks and offers.

Oversee compliant onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire documentation and I-9 verification, orientation, and exit interviews, maintain personnel files per job records-retention policies. 

Represents and reinforces HCC culture through training and serving in an advisory capacity for management.

Administer and improve the performance management program, coaching leaders on goals, feedback, and corrective action consistent with policy and law.

Administer compensation and benefits programs; support annual benefits open enrollment; coordinate with brokers/vendors to ensure timely, accurate enrollment and communication.

Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and organizational charts; advise leaders on policy interpretation, employee relations and conflict resolution.

Investigate and document employee concerns and policy violations in a fair, timely and neutral manner; recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

Manage external HR vendors/consultants and provide day-to-day directions to HR Team members.

Assist in preparation of dedicated events and other office or company gatherings.
